Dental prostheses using implants

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots, usually made from titanium, which the dentist cements into the jaw bone. Crowns, bridges or prostheses can then be firmly affixed onto this foundation. For our implants, we use products made by the companies Straumann, Camlog or Friadent, depending on the situation and individual treatment plan.

Dr. Dieter Stuck inserted the first implants in 1988, and they are still being used today! Dental implants have been tested both clinically and in daily use for more than 30 years. Their main advantage is that they are firmly cemented into the jaw and feel like your own teeth. As a patient, the implants will not restrict you in any way – not when eating, laughing or talking. Provided they receive regular hygienic care, implants last for decades, and sometimes even for life.

Patients with very complex implants and bone reconstructions are referred to oral surgeon Dr. med Dr. med.dent. Konstantinos Katsoulis.
